Classic dilemma...small kitchen, unused dining room, growing children. Pass more everything, please.
The secluded adjoining formal dining room was the perfect place from which to grab more "real estate". It was after all, as is often the case, rarely used. The challenge was to remove a wall but still gain storage, improve morning congestion at the sink and reorient the space outside to the canyon view.
Voila...mission accomplished. Storage pantries connect the two spaces. Rearranging appliance locations created better flow and views. A custom table by DI expands to still accommodate up to12 when needed. A dramatic arched opening was added to mirror others, like it had always been there.
