Our client, a Hollywood producer/director, wanted the kitchen of their charming 1927 beach getaway revamped. Due to timing and engineering constraints, they chose not to expand the tiny 85 square feet and nixed raising the very low ceiling. So small and poorly laid out, it was barely useable by a single cook, which didn't suit their entertainment style.

Changing to a "galley" layout adds needed room for several cooks. An 8' lanai window allows for multiple others to pull up to the outdoor "island" and finishes, such as a mother-of-pearl backsplash, create a relaxed seashore ambiance.
